Pop Up Displays Are Ideal For Trade Show Exhibiting

Pop up displays are really easy to use and their lightweight portability makes them an excellent choice because they are simple for one person to transport to the show and put the complete stand up by themselves without tools or assistance. They are very cost effective as well and if your company is new to trade show exhibiting, a stand of this type is the ideal way to get started and will provide you with a great looking display at a reasonable cost.

Another great bonus with pop us displays is that you can change the look of your stand quickly and easily by updating your graphics. In many cases, you might only want to change one or both of the outer panels in order to present your company images in the central section and your Exhibition special offers as ‘attention grabbers’ on the outer panels. This avoids the need for several pop up displays and makes the stand even more cost effective.

Should you find yourself in the happy position where show organisers have offered you a bigger stand space as a special deal or because they have space to fill nearing ‘show-time’, you will be able to supplement your pop up displays stand with other pull up banners which are very cost-effective and can create a real impact with your advertising message. Roller Banner Stands often have a removable cartridge containing the banner or graphic panel and this enables these to be changed very easily for a completely different look.

No matter how thoroughly you have prepared for a show with great graphics on your stand, enthusiastic staff that are ready to get out there and make deals or how good the new product or service is that you are launching at the show, you will not have a success if the show is not right for your company. The planning stage is vital and this is where most companies new to exhibiting fail by falling at the first hurdle.

It is a really good idea to plan a year ahead. That way, you can visit a show you are thinking of exhibiting at next year and by going as a visitor, you can assess the show much better. Take some time to chat to exhibitors in the same line of business as your company and see what they think of the show – stand back and watch how busy their stands are, do they attract a lot of visitors? What level of interest is there? These questions will help you make your decision.

In the event that you cannot visit a show and arrive at your conclusions from your research on the day, ask the organisers to provide you with a breakdown of visitor statistics. From this information, you will be able to determine numbers, what type of visitors they got and from which market sector and thus determine how many of these you might be able to turn into customers by exhibiting yourself.

How To Earn From Your Exhibition Stand or Trade Show Booth

If you are new to exhibiting at trade shows and exhibitions, it is most likeley that the major concern you will have is 'are we going to make any money out of this or is this trade show booth / pop up display stand just going to be a huge chunk out of the marketing budget for nothing?'.
If this is the case, I have a couple of tips to help you out.  The first one is to get yourself a copy of Ken Wheelers excellent step by step manual called Making Exhibitions Work For You.  This will take you from the very first steps of deciding whether exhibiting at trade shows is right for your company, through the planning process, choosing an exhibition, choosing a stand, choosing a theme for a stand, choosing and training your stand staff, promotional items, the look of the stand, pre-show publicity, how to market your presence at the show, how to attract visitors to your stand, how to turn visitors into sales leads and how to follow up those sales leads. (Phew!!  Yes, it really IS that comprehensive) and it is available to you for £10 as a pdf ebook!
Second, head on over to HubPages and check out this article called How to earn from your Exhibition Stand where you will find lots more helpful tips.

A Pop Up Display Stand Is The Best Choice For Any Company New To Exhibiting

Pop up Display Stands are definitely the ideal way for any small to medium sized business to start out exhibiting at Trade Fairs and Exhibitions. Their two major advantages over other stand types are the low initial purchase cost and the ease with which new graphics can be purchased to completely change the look of your stand at minimal cost.

You will find that a Pop up Display Stand is really easy to transport. You will probably receive your complete stand in a wheeled case that provides a useful trolley to push or pull or stand from car to stand space and in a very short time, you can have your stand fully set up.

If you want to make the most of the opportunities offered to you at Trade Shows with your pop up display system, you need to think about a couple of pointers that I am going to mention now. Firstly, it is vital to ensure that you choose the appropriate trade show for the type of products and services your company specialises in. If possible, visit a show you are thinking of exhibiting at the year before you are thinking of exhibiting there. This will enable you to see how many visitors it gets and ask the organisers for a profile breakdown of visitors so you can see how many of them might be potential customers.

Another important point I should mention is that in the UK, the vast majority of visitors turn left when entering an Exhibition. If you live outside the UK, you should check out whether this holds true in your country as it may just be because we drive on the left in this country.

Another point to consider when thinking about where your stand should be located is that for the first few minutes at any trade show, most visitors are not really looking around - they will be too busy listening to announcements, looking for directions on signs, looking at the floor-plan and so on. It takes several minutes for any visitor to start really taking in what they are seeing. This means that there is very little point in having a stand too close to the entrance because most visitors will just walk past without really looking at your stand.

I would have to say that a Pop Up Display stand is certainly, in my opinion, the very best way for a small to medium sized business to get into exhibiting at Trade Shows. This is firstly because of how easy it is to change the look of your stand by replacing graphics to represent changing offers and products, but also to ensure that you have a cost-effective stand that looks the part and is easy for your staff to work from. Finally, I would say that however good your stand is, you must be sure to use every opportunity to gain new business by placing your stand in the correct location at an appropriate show for you to gain the most new customers possible from your exhibition stand.

Roller Banner Stands, Get Maximum Impact For Minimal Cost

Roller Banner Stands have many uses. They can add an extra dimension to your exhibition stand, allowing you to gain extra advertising space with the minimum of additional outlay. Using a promotional banner enables you to make a special offer just for that trade show or event. In a retail outlet, use them as a point of sale banner. At your place of business, use them in reception, or in the boardroom, to give visitors a warm welcome and an introduction to your products and services. When you give presentations or promotional talks, a suitable graphics panel on your banner stand will add more impact to your words.

There are a few different types of Roller Banner Stands available so you want to make sure that you choose the correct sort for your own particular requirements. Graphic panels are easily obtained, initially as part of the package but later, new panels can be chosen without having to buy the framework of the stand again, thus enabling you to have several, interchangeable looks for your banner stand with minimal additional outlay.

Retractable Roller Banner Stands have a clever mechanism that allows the banner to be pulled out of the cassette base and attached to the top of the pole. That is all there is, to erecting a Roller Banner! By putting several banners in a line at the back of your exhibition stand, these stunning graphic panels will form a perfect background for your stand at minimal cost.  You could also add an extra one if your Pop up Display Stand is not big enough to fill your exhibition space - this will enable you to get extra advertising signage at a very low cost.

To pack the banner away, simply unclip the banner from the top of the upright pole and it automatically rolls back inside the cassette. Many of the models available have extendable upright poles and this enables you to adjust the banner height according to the situation where it used. On the top of the range models, you can swap the cassette for one with a new graphic in just a few seconds making this an extremely easy to use and versatile option.

Rigid Pole Banner Stands do not have the banner attached to the stand in transit. This is carried separately and fixed to the pole when the stand is put together. Assembly is very quick and easy to do. The Rigid Pole Stands are very durable and the fact that they can be as wide as 8' make them ideal for use as what is called a Media Backdrop Stand, a seamless graphic panel that looks really stunning.

Tension Pole Banner Stands are taking things a step further, they are even more lightweight than the other types, relying on the flexibility of the pole to correctly tension the banner. These stands are now being produced with a shaped graphic banner for even more eye-catching displays.

As more and more outdoor events provide a sales opportunity for businesses, so the popularity of Outdoor Roller Banner Stands has grown. These have been adapted for the outdoor environment with bases, weighted with sand or water and banners designed to flex so that they are not blown over in windy conditions.

Roller Banner Stands provide such a lot, for so little money! They can be used many times over and when correctly used, provide a visually stunning graphic image. If you choose a model with double-sided graphics, you are almost getting two for the price of one! They truly are, a great way to promote your company and represent excellent value, especially as they have so many uses.

Exhibition Stand, Staffing and Staff Training

However big or impressive your stand may be, if your staff are not adequately trained and prepared to make the most of every opportunity presented by each and every visitor that walks by your stand, you are wasting your time and your money being at the Exhibition in the first place.  I have been involved with planning a trade show stand for many years and have used the experience gained to write some articles on the subject that I hope will be useful to anyone contemplating exhibiting at a trade show.

The articles are all on Hubpages and will build into a complete guide to Exhibition Success for your company.  I hope you will find the articles useful and if you have any questions, please do contact me through hubpages.

I have based the series on the Pop up Display System Exhibition Stands but all the information is applicable whether you have a couple of Banner Stands, a Trade Show Booth, or the biggest Bespoke Exhibition Stand like the one in the picture above which is of the Etisalat Stand at Gitex 2008.

The latest article is entitled Pop up Display Stand, Exhibition Stand Staffing and Training and deals with Exhibition Training, from choosing the staff from your company who will represent you on the stand through to follow-ups after the show

Exhibition Planning get results from your Pop up Display Stand

Pop up Display Stands are hugely popular.  They are as portable as they are versatile and they are the ideal choice for a small to medium sized business that wishes to exhibit at several Exhibitions or Trade Shows during the course of a year.

The graphics panels are easily replaceable, but by buying good quality ones and choosing your theme carefully, you should have no further expense for the entire exhibiting year - or longer if you wish.

This article on hubpages is one of a series about Pop up Display Stands.  It is called Pop Up Display Stand, Successful Exhibiting Part 1 and deals specifically about planning for Exhibition Success.  Planning is possibly the most vital part of the process, get this right and everything else will follow.

The best Exhibition position for your Pop up Display Stand

Once you have chosen which Exhbition or Trade Show is right for your company, you need to book your space.  It is vital to give very careful consideration to the position you choose whether you have need a space only position for your Pop up Display Stand, Bannerstands, or Bespoke Exhibition Stand or whether you are using shell scheme or Exhibition booth within the Show.

Here is a link to an online Directory of UK Trade Shows, and a link to an online International Directory of Trade Shows which has a vast number of Exhibitions and Trade Shows both in the USA and the UK.

The first thing you need to do, is to request a floorplan of the Exhibition which will have details of the spaces still available. One interesting fact that I have noted over the years in the UK is that 90% of all visitors to Exhibitions, turn left when they enter the Exhibition. I have recently been talking to a lady in the USA who has advised me that this is not the case there and it may be that the left turn in Britain is affected by the side of the road we drive on - an interesting concept and one that demands further research by me!  But in UK, the predominance of the 'left turn' means that attendees will be visiting those stands to the right hand side of the Exhibition last, when they tired out and 'boggle-eyed' so in the UK, it is vital to take this into account.  In other countries, it would be well worth asking the organisers about the traffic flow around the Exhibition you have chosen. The choice of stand position is, I believe, the most important aspect for the would-be Exhibitor to decide upon.

Check which stands are still available and choose from the floorplan, which is the best position for you. Points to consider:-

1. Areas which are likely to be most busy (main thoroughfares, routes to toilets, restaurants etc.).

2. Most people turn to their left (in UK, see above), when entering an exhibition but also bear in mind that most people take a while to ‘acclimatise’ when they first enter the exhibition hall and often walk straight past stands just inside the entrance whilst they are clipping on their badges, checking out the catalogue, etc.

3. Take advice from the organisers - it is in their interest as well as yours for them to find you a good location for your stand.

4. If the position you want to be in is currently shown as vacant but is a larger area than you want to pay for, don’t be afraid to ask - organisers may split the area into two stand spaces to accommodate you or even offer you a discount on the whole area if it is getting close to the date of the exhibition when you book.

Once you have chosen the position and stand size, if you have chosen a pop up display stand, it will be easy to adjust the configuration of your stand to make best use of the space.
